Four Anti-Aging Products that Work

Total Beauty recently featured a list of the 23 worst anti-aging skin care products on their website based upon their reader reviews. Although this is an excellent list to help eliminate products you might have been considering, there are hundreds (if not thousands) of anti-aging products out there, so finding one that works can be a difficult task. Luckily, I'm here to help you do just that. Thus, I've composed a list of four anti-aging skin care products that really work!

To start, Clinique's Repairwear Laser Focus Wrinkle & UV Damage Corrector really helps firm up those fine lines and remove light discoloration from sun damage.  This isn't a miracle potion, but it gets the job done.  I noticed the most improvement on my "worry lines."  This serum didn't do much around my eyes, but it did even out my skin tone and help remove the light sun spots on my cheeks.  This product was also very gentle and didn't irritate my skin or make it oily at all.  Overall, I would say this product is worth the $45, which is more than a drug store brand, but much less than many other products that fail to provide results.

Next up is Philosophy's When Hope is Not Enough ($38- or $27 + $5 shipping using the link provided).  This is another lightweight serum that I've had good luck with. Again, this doesn't provide miraculous results, but it does reduce the appearance of large pores and help firm up those fine lines.  I also noticed it made my skin smoother and more moisturized without feeling heavy.

If you're looking for something to firm up your skin overnight, look no further than Clarins Multi-Active Night Youth Recovery Cream ($58)!  Of course, when I say overnight, I mean over several nights, but this cream lives up to the hype.  I first started noticing results after just one week, but the effect increases over time.  I soon woke up to refreshed, hydrated, firmer looking skin!  Again, this product is very lightweight and quickly absorbs into the skin.  I think it's rare to find a night cream that doesn't leave your skin feeling greasy by morning, which is why I absolutely love this cream!

This last product is another that provides amazing results, but unfortunately the price is a little steep, so it might not be an option for everyone.  Lancome's Absolue Ultimate Bx Serum retails for $135, but if you shop around, you might be able to find it for substantially less (use the link above to find it on Amazon for $80 with free shipping).  The good thing about this serum is that a little goes a very long way and really does make a visible difference in fine lines and pore size.  I definitely saw results in the first week.  It even helped firm the lines around my eyes, which is something I feel most anti-aging products don't do very well.  Overall, this is a fantastic product, even though the price is pretty high.

Hopefully this list will help make your decision easier the next time you need to buy a new anti-aging product.  Do you already have a favorite anti-aging product?  Which products would you warn other ladies to avoid?  Leave a comment and share your thoughts!
