Call to Action: How to Help Victims of the Earthquake in Japan

Good Morning, Ladies!  As I've mentioned before, being beautiful isn't just about the way you look- it's also about who you are!  As I'm sure you all know, Japan was hit by a disastrous 8.9 earthquake as well as a subsequent tsunami.  While most of us can't hop on a plane to help those in Japan directly, you can help those in need by donating to several different relief funds.  Here are a few of the most trusted charities that are working fast to provide relief to victims in Japan:

The Red Cross is tirelessly helping those in need.  To quickly donate just $10, text REDCROSS to 90999.  You can also visit the website to make a donation of any amount over $10.  Click here to make your donation.

Another excellent organization you can donate to is Global Giving.  Global Giving allows you to pick the project(s) you want to support, make donations, and get regular updates regarding how your donation is helping those in need.  Click here to make a donation of $25, $50, or $75 to the Japan Earthquake & Tsunami Relief Fund.

Finally, Save the Children, a program that not only funds disaster relief, but also helps resolve the struggles children from poverty stricken areas face everyday, is taking donations to help those in Japan.  Click here to make a donation of any amount you choose to their Children's Emergency Fund.

Disasters like these devastate the lives of thousands and take years to recover from.  Please help aid the recovery process by giving to one of these funds or another charity of your preference.  If you have friends or family in Japan, I hope they are safe.  Luckily, my good friend and her 6 month old baby were far enough south that they didn't get hit too badly.  Do you part and stay beautiful inside and out!
