What Spring Means to Me: FTF Blog Event

Hello, Lovelies!  Today I am participating in the Full Time Fabulous blog event!  This month's theme about spring and what it means to each of us! I get excited every year when the sun starts to shine and flowers emerge all over the city. Spring brings new life, and with it, tons of motivation to be active, look fabulous, and enjoy the simple things! To me, spring means...

...getting in shape,
Thanks to my twitter friends and the fact that I just turned in my last assignment of the semester, I'll be starting the 30 day shred tomorrow!
...trying new styles,
I'm going to give this bright, color-blocking combination a try for Mother's Day Brunch on Sunday!
...and enjoying nature.
My balcony all ready to go for spring!
And here in Chicago, spring means...,

The Chicago Symphony Orchestra playing at Millenium Park last spring.
...and tulips galore!

What does spring mean to you?  I'd love to hear your thoughts about this fabulous season!  Also, be sure to check out the rest of the bloggers who participated in this fun event!

  1. Spring means white dresses, and unfortunately - allergies! I love all your new apparel purchases - can't wait to see you wear them :) Enjoy this lovely weekend!

  2. I want to try that 30 day shred too! Let me know how it works! And you better post a pic of you in that gorgeous outfit!

  3. Gah, I miss Chicago! I went to school in Grand Rapids and it was easy to spend the day there. Now that I'm in LA, the commute is a little longer.

    Good luck with the shred!

  4. Oh, thank you so much for taking me around Chicago in spring! I really would love to go, but Norway is so far away :) Happy friday xx

  5. Spring looks beautiful in Chi! :) Good Luck with the Shred! :)

  6. Tulips are one of my favourite flowers. That's exciting that you are doing the 30 day shred. I wish you luck on that.. Chicago has such a great culture and arts. I've only been a few times but really enjoyed my stay when I was there.
    Have a great weekend! -xo

  7. Pretty flowers! I've heard a lot of talk about Jillian's shred.. Carrie and everyone are doing it now (I don't know if you're participating in that or not). I did this challenge also, it was fun!

  8. To me, as an Oregonian it means the rain is FINALLY going to calm down and we are going to get some SUN AND HEAT!! :)

  9. Thanks for all the fun comments, ladies! Chicago is fabulous in the spring- which is why I wish there were more spring days in the year! :) I'm super excited to start shredding!

  10. Love this post! I used to live in the suburbs of Chicago, going into the city was always amazing. Last year I moved to Nebraska which is obviously gorgeous in the spring, though I've missed Chicago's great activities like crazy!

  11. Fabulous post, darling!
    Love those tulips!

  12. YEAH Go baseball!!! (Except I'm Yankees hehe)

  13. Woo hoo! Welcome to the crew!

  14. Ohhhh, I was in Chicago about this time last year and I loved it! Lucky girl, it's such a great city! I even saw a baseball game there, too. Just reminiscing...

  15. I visited Chicago 3yrs ago in February. I liked the city very much, but unfortunately no sight of flowers, so it's nice to see a picture of Chicago in spring!!
I also like your colorblocking outfit!!Nice combination!
I work out all year long, but from Monday on I will try to "diet" a little bit (=don't eat unnessesary stuff and sweets!!)

  16. Spring is weatherwise the same here, but does mean more optimistic attitudes and possibly more travels!
