Hello Lovelies! That's right, I was a dirty girl today. Why you ask? Well it's because I spent the morning planting these gorgeous flowers and delicious herbs!

| I actually painted the three larger pots this morning. The plain terracotta just wasn't doing it for me. Clockwise from top: red daisy, cilantro, basil, mint, & oregano. |

By the time I finished planting all these lovely flowers and herbs, I was completely covered in dirt, but looking at the finished product makes it so worth it! Looks like I'll have to have people over soon for some barbecue and drinks on the balcony! I hope you all enjoy your weekend and get to spend some time outside as well!
So pretty!! I love what you've done with the patio!! I need to repot some of my plants; they're outgrowing their containers. And painting the pots is sooo much cheaper than buying the colored ones!

Thanks, Lia! Yeah- the colored pots were about 3x as much as the plain terracotta ones, so I just bought those and used some old paint I had in my art bin. It worked out really well!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! The bright pots look great. I have basil, lavender, cilantro, chives, cacti, a tomato plant and a miniature rose on my balcony right now. When we move, I'll have a yard with several flowers and plants to take of too. Should be fun!

Dirty girl -- I love it! I wish I had a green thumb. Sadly, I hate almost all things outdoors, and that includes plants. Because plants breed bugs and bees. And that scares me.

ReplyDeleteI love it. You have inspired me to spruce up our back deck and screened porch. Just by adding some pretty flowers can really liven up your outdoor space. Kudos. BTW, you mentioned mojitos and it reminded me that I tried a new tea this weekend at our shop. It was a Mojito Marmalade. It was really good iced...just thought that i would share.
ReplyDeleteI'm so flattered that this post inspired many of you fabulous gals! :) Even if you think you're not great at gardening, you should at least give herbs a try. They are pretty easy to grow. Also, I have been using the Miracle Grow moisture control soil since last spring, and it definitely helps with over/under watering. Good luck!
