Review: T-aromas Handmade Natural Fragrances & Skincare

Good afternoon, Gorgeous!  Recently, I made my first purchase on Etsy from a shop called T-aromas.  Although I've always liked the idea of using handmade and natural products, I haven't tried a ton, partially because they didn't used to be so easy to find.  However, many companies are making cosmetics and bath products with all natural ingredients now, and Etsy has made it extremely convenient to purchase handmade goods from people all over the world!  After perusing Etsy for some time, I decided to purchase bath salts and linen spray from T-aromas- partially based on the good reviews, partially based on the lovely, spa like packaging, and yes, partially based on the fact that the woman who makes these products also happens to be named Tara.  :)

The bath salts came in a 4oz bottle with a cork stopper and are made of Dead Sea salt from the shores of Israel. These salts are supposed to absorb more minerals than seas salts elsewhere, and thus be more therapeutic. I chose the lavender and Morrocan mint salts because I'm a lavender fiend. The fragrance of these salts was fabulous and very relaxing. I used about a handful (which means the bottle will make about 5-6 baths) and noticed that my skin felt a little softer after I soaked in the tub for approximately 30 minutes. Although I only noticed a small difference in the softness of my skin, I will say that these salts helped my skin feel less itchy than it has lately. I always get dry, itchy skin in the winter (which usually lasts through spring), so I'm glad these salts helped calm the itching! Overall, these are high quality bath salts, especially for the price ($6)!

I also purchased linen spray ($8) in the lavender and Morrocan mint scent. This spay comes in a 4oz aluminum spray bottle and smells just as wonderful as the bath salts do! I sprayed some on my sheets and pillows as soon as I got this, and enjoyed the way it made my bedroom smell. However, by the time I went to bed several hours later, the scent had faded so that I could only faintly pick up the fragrance on my pillows. Although it doesn't take much to make the room smell nice, I wish it would last longer so I don't have to refresh the scent multiple times per day. The price isn't bad compared to other high quality linen sprays I've tried, but I can't say I love this spray as much as I do the bath salts.

Overall, I was pretty happy with my first experience on Etsy and the T-aromas shop! I really loved that Tara included a 2oz soy candle as a little gift with my purchase (this candle was one of my March Favorites- it smells divine)!  If you haven't checked out Etsy before, I recommend taking a look around and stopping by T-aromas shop! If you have shopped on Etsy before, how has your experience been?  Also, do you have any favorite shops or products on Etsy? You know I love to hear from you!

  3. Thank you for sharing this. I love buying things from Etsy. I'm all about supporting the small business / home based business person. I've never bought any beauty products from anyone other than a mainstream company. I've always been leary, but you have shown me that there are some potential good buys on Etsy.

  4. My mom had some sea salt scrub that was divine, but really expensive. I honestly never thought of getting handmade bath products on Etsy, but I'll have to check it out!
