No Mascara |
BADgal Lash (left) & BADgal Blue (right)- does my right eye look brighter? Maybe a little. |
Now I'm wearing BADgal Plum. Do my eyes look more green than before? No. I don't think so, anyway. |
As for the application, I just used one coat in these pictures. You can apply multiple coats to make your look more dramatic, and of course, you can also use eyeliner to better highlight your eyes (I didn't here just so you could see the effects of the mascara on it's own). I really like that these mascaras go on smoothly, but when you first use them, the brushes seem to hold too much product, causing the mascara to go on thicker than I would prefer. Luckily, after a few uses I find that the amount of mascara that goes onto the brush is just right, and remains that way until it's time to throw it away (if you're not sure how long that is, check out this post).
One thing that some people might have an issue with when applying this mascara is the large brush. While a brush of this size helps increase lash volume, it also makes application a little more difficult. You need to take your time when applying this, or else you risk making a mess all over your pretty eyes! However, if you have lashes that are at least average in length, application isn't too difficult- you just need to start at the tips, then roll the brush down to your lash line. Here are some pics of the brushes so you can see exactly how big we're talking...

Have any of you fabulous ladies ever tried BADgal mascaras? If so, what did you think? Also, what mascara are you currently using? I love to hear your thoughts and answer your questions, so leave a comment below!
Well this was timely! I was just thinking today that I needed to get a new mascara! I've been using Maybeline Great Lash, waterproof. I really don't like it. I swear they mixed permanent marker into it, because I can never get it all off! Since I can't get it all off, it makes my eyelashes all clumpy. I think it's worth it to invest in higher priced mascara.
ReplyDeleteGreat review! You have gorgeous eyes!
ReplyDeletewow the definition is amazing! I use physicians formula Organic Wear Mascara right now and I really like it.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gals! Shaina- I just bought a Physician's Formula mascara as well!
ReplyDeleteWow this mascara looks amazing...thank you for sharing this review. Your eyes are so gorgeous anyway that it doesn't matter that the plum doesn't show up...your eye color is amazing! Have a great weekend :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the compliment! I was actually thinking of getting colored contacts the next time I go to the eye doctor, but you're convincing me I should just stick to my natural eye color! :)
ReplyDeleteUmm, you have an unfair advantage! FYI: your lashes are better sans mascara than mine are with! Great review!
ReplyDeletedefinitely agree. badgal lash looks the best on camera.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review! I haven't tried Badgal and good to know it's a good mascara but not necessarily color=changing.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend dear!

I agree, they really do seem to deliver in the volume category. That is good to know. I've never tried BadGal. I can't remember what I am using now. When buying mascara, I go cheap. Whatever is on sale is usually the winner.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that's only one coat!
ReplyDeleteThe BadGal Lash definitely does make a difference! I don't usually see this in stores so I'm going to look out for it!
