Here are some some photos I snapped while shopping (sorry about the poor lighting in some of these- it wasn't very bright inside):
Rebecca & I decided this was the most fabulous mask there! |
Vintage Fendi backpack and other fabulous handbags |
Gorgeous encrusted hand mirror and frames |
Beautiful multi-strand turquoise necklace with leaf accent |
Evening Gown worn by R&B diva Gladys Knight |
The fabulous fedora I wanted but was afraid I wouldn't wear. |
Me trying on one of my purchases- a 1970's bright green blazer from The Villager (which no longer exists). |
The African beaded necklace that I spent 15 minutes debating if I should get. I REALLY wanted this necklace, but the asking price was WAY too high. Sigh. |
My final selections. I negotiated the price down from $60 to just $40 for the set! |
So what do you think of my selections? Do you have any vintage items in your wardrobe? I'd love to hear from you!
P.S. Don't forget to enter the Sigma Beauty F80 Kabuki Brush Giveaway! It ends tonight at midnight CST!!!
WOW, this jacket is fabulous!!! I would love to go to an event like that. It sounds like so much fun!! I have a few vintage pieces but my most treasured is a Louis Vuitton Tote bag. I actually picked it up in a thrift store and paid under $20 for it. Honestly, they had NO idea what they were actually selling and I snapped it up right away
ReplyDeleteChristina, that's awesome! I wish I could find a LV tote for under $20!!! :)
ReplyDeleteFabulous pics and purchys, darling!

i find it really odd that so many people in my life have been talking about Chicago recently. Just yesterday my hair dresser says "I am from Indiana but I would always shop in Chicago." I've been there before but would love to go again.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a lovely event, and I'm so, so glad you got that green blazer Tara! it is perfect for color blocking, don't you think?
Cheryl, I bought this with color blocking in mind! :) You should definitely visit Chicago again- it's fabulous!
ReplyDeleteVery very very jealous.
ReplyDeletelooks like you got some great finds and had a fabulous time!
Oh your pal Christina's $20 LV has to be the best find ever. However, adore your finds too. The African beads were gorgeous, but only for the right price. Way to negotiate! Glad you had fun.
ReplyDeleteGreat negotiating and I LOVE the mask!

Great finds! I love that African beaded necklace. What was the asking price?
ReplyDeleteThanks, ChiTown! I think the asking price was around $100, which may not be too extreme, but since I'm a grad student, I have to select my splurges carefully! :)
