Friendship Bracelet Swap 2.0
Hello Lovelies! I hope you all have been well. I came down with the flu this week, so I haven't been doing much other than lying around, reading, and watching TV. Still, I have some gorgeous arm candy to share with you all today! Meggy over at Chasing Davies put together a Friendship Bracelet Swap in which bloggers are partnered up and make friendship bracelets for one another! I was paired with the gorgeous and super sweet Bex from Bex...A Style Diary! She not only made me a super cute friendship bracelet, but also bought me a second one made of fabric and leather! Lucky me! I love them both and have been wearing them a ton since I received them last week!
Be sure to check out Bex and Meggy's blogs! They both have amazing style and wonderful personalities that shine through in their posts! If you're interested in seeing the bracelet I made for Bex, click here. She also mentioned it in her Thursday Latelies video, which is super adorable, so be sure to watch it! Thanks to Meggy for making this possible and Bex for my awesome bracelets! I love them so much and have also loved learning more about Bex via emails and her blog!

Why I Love Blogging
Hello Lovelies! Over the last few days since my cat Sneaker died, I have received so many messages from my readers and fellow bloggers offering their sympathy and support. This support and camaraderie is one of the things I love most about blogging! Not only am I able to share my passions with others, but I also get to meet lots of amazing people. Along the way, I have formed some close bonds with people I would have never met had I not began Haute Lunch, and I'm so glad I did. All the messages I have received have meant so much to me, and really brightened my day. One fellow blogger who I have become great friends with, Teresa from Teresa - Life and Style, even surprised me with a lovely bouquet that totally made my day.
If you've spent more than a day or two in the blogosphere, I'm sure you know exactly what I mean when I say that this community is one of the most supportive, caring, fun communities to be a part of! I want to thank everyone who as been a supporter and friend, and especially Teresa for bringing a smile to my face at least once everyday since I found out about Sneaker's death. If you've never visited her blog, you absolutely must. Not only is she one of the sweetest people I've ever met, she also has amazing style, lots of creativity, and great taste in men (see this post to find out what I mean). Teresa is also hosting a giveaway right now, so be sure to check that out as well!

New Hair & Shopping with the Gals
Hello Beauties! So as you might know, I had my hair done yesterday, and I absolutely love how it turned out! I was a little worried going in because it's the first time I've had my hair done by a student, but the lady who was assigned to me (Mia) was absolutely fabulous and totally knew what she was doing. There were also supervisors walking around to make sure everything was done properly. I think Mia did a great job creating a cut that similar to what I was looking for (Jennifer Aniston's cut barely beat out Jessica Simpson's in the end) as well as the lighter, summery blonde that so many of us adored (a la Kate Hudson). Here's what the finished product looked like:
And the inspiration:
After getting my hair done, I met up with some of my friends from school and we headed over to a fun shopping event hosted by Sassy City Chicks (yes, we laughed at that name a lot while we were there- because we're sassy)! It was a fun time, though definitely very busy. Luckily, we got there right when it began, so we were able to snag a free cocktail and have our makeup done before the lines got too long.
There were a lot of fun clothes, shoes, accessories, and baubles for sale, but the prices were a little steep at some of the booths, so in the end, I just took home some "POREfessional" by Benefit. We were also given swag bags at the door, which had a lot of fun goodies for us to try!
After a long day of primping and shopping (oh, what a life) we all decided to walk to a local brew pub called Haymarket Brewery and relax with a refreshing brew and a bite to eat. All in all, it was a pretty great day.
So what do you think of my new hair? Do you think Mia did a good job creating and a Jen & Kate inspired 'do? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Please ignore the fact that I have absolutely NO makeup on in this photo and that it's a little blurry. I snapped it with my phone as I was getting ready to head out.

This sleeveless romper was super cute, and would have been my pick if it hadn't come with a hefty price tag!
And here are the goodies from the swag bag. My favorite thing is the full size Nick Chavez hair strengthener. I can't wait to try it out!
