November PopSugar Must Haves Box Review

Hello Gorgeous! I just got my November PopSugar Must Haves box and had to share! It is once again AMAZING! I love that these boxes keep impressing me month after month! If you want to get the December box just click here and be sure to use code REFER5 to get $5 off your first box. Hurry though, these tend to sell out quickly!

This month the box included Stonewall Kitchens Cinnamon & Sugar Doughnut Mix (yum), La Boite Gourmet Spice Blends, Gorjana Leather wrap bracelet (I've been wanting one of these for a while, but they're pricey), Snow & Graham Thank You Cards (made in Chicago, yay), Gaiam Yogalosophy Workout DVD, MOR Lip Balm (love their tins), a $30 credit to Canvas Pop, and a credit for a FREE t-shirt from StyleMint! So Awesome!

I've said it before, but if I were only allowed to receive one subscription box a month, the PopSugar Must Haves Box would be it. These boxes are always worth well over the $35 price tag (or less if you buy multiple months at a time) and they consistently include amazing products that I absolutely love! Be sure to sign up now to send yourself an amazing gift every month!

Popsugar October Must Have Bag Reveal

Hello Lovelies! This month Popsugar has put together another awesome Must Have Bag! I recently posted September's bag with was amazing, but this month also had some fun and luxurious finds!

This month the box included a hard copy of J.K. Rowling's newest release, "The Casual Vacancy." This book is a best seller and would have cost the same as the entire Must Have Bag if I were to have bought it in a store! Also included were some ExerSocks to help you stay in place when doing yoga or other floor exercises, some Pirate's Booty Baked White Cheddar cheese puffs, Clear Scalp & Hair Beauty Therapy Shampoo and Conditioner, a Red Flower Petal Topped Candle (which smells wonderful), some delicious gummi bears made by Dylan's Candy Bar (which is owned by Ralph Lauren's daughter), and an OPI Pink of Hearts full size nail polish duo! I love the mixture of beauty, home, and edible treats they send each month and I still can't get over how much better this subscription box is compared to any other! It does cost a bit more than most, but it is definitely worth it to get amazing full sized products!

If you want to sign up to receive Popsugar Must Have Bags each month, just go here to sign up. You can also use the code REFER5 to save $5 on your first box! Unfortunately the November box is already sold out (wow!) but you can sign up now to start receiving the boxes in December! Hurry before those sell out, too!

Julep Maven Review

Hi Everyone! It's been a long time since I last posted, but I just wanted to quickly share an awesome deal and write a bit of a review about my newest beauty find, Julep Maven! Julep is an awesome nail polish and mani/pedi product company that creates amazing products for your nails and skin that are completely toxin-free! They are based in Seattle, so if you live in that area you can even stop by one of their salons for an amazing manicure or pedicure!

I just signed up for Julep Maven last week, and I love the products they sent me! Julep Maven is a bit like Birchbox or Sole Society in that you sign up to be a member and get monthly boxes sent to you with new products to try. Unlike Birchbox, Julep Maven is just for nail products and includes only full sized items with a total value of at least $40 each month! Also, instead of automatically being sent a surprise box each month, Julep lets you see what's in the newest boxes and gives you the option to skip if you prefer not to receive one that month. Pretty awesome if you ask me!

Normally the boxes are $19.99 each (plus free shipping), but right now, you can use the code COLORS4ONE to get your first box for just $0.01- that's right, just one penny! I wish I had known about this promotion when I signed up, but I'm still glad I did either way, because their products are top notch! Here's what came in my first Julep Maven box.

Aren't the colors gorgeous?! I also love that Glycolic Hand Scrub! It has really made my hands a lot softer over the last few days, so I know they will be even more gorgeous after I've been using it for a while! It smells great, too- like oranges! Julep also has a referral program, so you can earn free boxes and try even more of their amazing products!

If you'd like to give Julep Maven a try (for just one cent), just go to this link and take the super fun style quiz. My style quiz said I am "Classic with a Twist" and recommend the box curated for that particular style. However, you can choose to view all the different styles of boxes after you finish the style quiz, so you can pick the colors and products you want most. I ended up picking the "Boho Glam" box because I already had colors similar to those in the Classic with a Twist box.

Once you decide with Julep Maven box is your favorite, simply add it to the cart and put in the code COLORS4ONE at checkout. You should receive your box within a week, which is pretty fast! So, have you ever tried Julep polishes? Did you sign up to be a Julep Maven? If so, which box did you pick?
P.S. Julep has nothing to do with this review. I just really love their products and wanted to share this awesome deal I found with all of you!

Sole Society + Me = Shoe Love

Hello Lovelies! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and that you're off to a great new year! I have lots to catch up on, I know, but I just wanted to quickly share some recent finds from Sole Society that I'm drooling over!

If you haven't heard of Sole Society before, or just haven't signed up yet, you definitely must become a member ASAP! Sole Society is a shoe club that sends you a new "closet" of choices on the first of each month. Not only are the shoes super cute, but the three pairs I've purchased from them so far have also been of very high quality! At $49.95 a pair, they can't be beat! I also love that the selections are tailored to each person's style preferences, and that there's no obligation to buy!

This month in my Sole Society closet I found these three pairs of gorgeousness that I am having trouble saying no to. Although I can't afford them all, one of them will certainly be mine!
Hayden Glitter Scrunched Ballet Flat
Paige Stitched Detail Pump
Blake Mid Heel Pump

So which pair do you think I should buy? Are you a member of Sole Society? If so, what pair from your closet is your favorite? If not- sign up now by clicking here! I can't wait to hear what you all think of these shoes!

What I've Been Up To

Hello Gorgeous! Long time, no see! As you probably know, my schedule has been extremely busy lately, but I wanted to take a few minutes to share some of the fun things I've been up to. Of course, most of my time has been devoted to school (I defend my masters in just 8 days), but here are some of the highlights from the past month!

My fiance and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary!

And I wore this little number to our celebratory dinner. This Free People dress was also featured in a post back in May. Here I styled it with my new boots by Nicole and a tan cardy.

I also went to Seattle for a conference!

And drank an average of 2.5 lattes each day...

And found this huge ass leaf. :)

And this past weekend I took my etsy shop on the road as I participated in my first craft fair! I made lots of new designs in preparation. Here are just a few:

Paracord Survival Bracelet - $10
Braided Triple Wrap Bracelet - $20
Beaded Adjustable Macrame Bracelet - $18
By the way, Black Friday & Cyber Monday are just around the corner and I will be offering some great deals! On Friday, you can get 10% off plus FREE SHIPPING with code BLKFRISHIP! There will be other deals on Shop Small Saturday and Cyber Monday as well, but the deal on Friday will definitely be the best, so be sure to shop my etsy store, Tara Lane Designs, on Friday!

So that's what I've been up to! What have you all been doing lately? I've been missing you!

Clothing Made Just for You at eShakti!

Hello Lovelies! Sorry I've been away so long this time. I was out of town for a bit and unfortunately am now sick again (I blame it on all the school stress), but today I'm back to tell you about an awesome online shop I recently had the pleasure of working with!

As I'm sure is true for many of you, ordering clothing online is somewhat risky for me. I'm not super skinny (by any means) nor do I have normal body shape, so ordering something without trying it on usually doesn't work for me. However, eShakti has helped change that with their awesome range of sizes (0-26W) and more importantly, custom sizing! When I first heard about eShakti I figured custom sizing had to cost and arm and a leg, but I was totally wrong! The clothing and accessories they sell are not only stylish, but affordable, and having any item made into a custom piece just for you is only $7.50! Amazing! I had this lovely dress custom made for me and have gotten so many compliments on it!

I love that it's somewhat sheer, but still appropriate for fall, as well as the Grecian cut and braided detail across the waist! And of course, I love the gorgeous bird pattern!

After receiving so many compliments, I can definitely say I will be ordering more dresses, skirts, tops, etc from eShakti! Plus, you can sign up for their emails and get great special offers and discounts!

If you've never purchased anything from eShakti, I recommend you do so ASAP! Right now they have a deal where first time customers get $20 off and free custom sizing on their first order! Shipping is also free for all orders over $100, so be sure to shop soon! Here are some of the gorgeous pieces I am thinking about buying next:

Fall Quartet of Hues Dress - $89.95

Cotswold Crochet Wrap - $24.95
1000 Blue Moons Skirt - $59.95
And if you want a dress like mine, but notice that they've already sold out, check out this option, which is a similar cut and color:
Grecian Grape Dress - $54.95
So have you ladies ever had a custom made dress or other item of clothing? Would you be more willing to buy clothes online now that there is an affordable option for custom sizing via eShakti? I'd love to hear your thoughts! Also, be sure to check back soon for a bit of a "life update" to see what all I've been up to!

Review: Rivé Glass Water Bottles

Hello Lovelies! Recently I received two amazing Rivé glass water bottles that I have been using constantly ever since. While I have always been a big supporter of reusable water bottles, I have never had any that were as gorgeous as these! On top of that, these fabulous bottles are made of glass and are 100% BPA free, so they don't impart any unwanted flavors into the water (which is one of my biggest complaints with plastic bottles). They also come in different styles and designs.

The Elan is the original design and the one I've been carrying around because it's smaller than the other bottles. While I have it in lime, it comes in a variety of colors and even in a Chicago cityscape design for all you other Chicago gals (or Chicago lovers)!

I've also been using the Savoy in Peacock, which is my absolute favorite. It holds 16 oz and is great for the office! I've been getting tons of compliments on it since I started using it last week and all my office mates are just as in love with it as I am!

While at first I was a bit worried that I would break these bottles since they are made of glass, I have quickly found that they are very durable and can withstand me knocking them over on my desk multiple times (though hopefully that is the worst that will happen to them). I also love that the cap seals tightly so I don't have to worry about my water spilling out into my bag or worse, on my computer! I am totally impressed with these bottles and totally recommend them for anyone who wants a functional and stylish bottle!

Rivé bottles are just $20-$25, and right now you can get free shipping if you order any two! Also be sure to check out Bottle Banter, a cute style blog written by Rivé founder, Jillian Craig. So do any of you have one of these amazing bottles? If not, which one do you like best? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
*These bottles were provided to me free for review, but the opinions expressed are completely my own.

Friendship Bracelet Swap 2.0

Hello Lovelies! I hope you all have been well. I came down with the flu this week, so I haven't been doing much other than lying around, reading, and watching TV. Still, I have some gorgeous arm candy to share with you all today! Meggy over at Chasing Davies put together a Friendship Bracelet Swap in which bloggers are partnered up and make friendship bracelets for one another! I was paired with the gorgeous and super sweet Bex from Bex...A Style Diary! She not only made me a super cute friendship bracelet, but also bought me a second one made of fabric and leather! Lucky me! I love them both and have been wearing them a ton since I received them last week!

Bex made the pastel colored chevron bracelet (so cute) and also bought me the awesome wine colored double wrap bracelet (perfect for fall)! I adore them both!
Be sure to check out Bex and Meggy's blogs! They both have amazing style and wonderful personalities that shine through in their posts! If you're interested in seeing the bracelet I made for Bex, click here. She also mentioned it in her Thursday Latelies video, which is super adorable, so be sure to watch it! Thanks to Meggy for making this possible and Bex for my awesome bracelets! I love them so much and have also loved learning more about Bex via emails and her blog!
